Optimum Compound contains proprietary polymers that encapsulate the microfine compounding agents to remove paint defects without creating haziness, major swirl marks or dust. Finally, a compound that cuts and corrects, but buffs, feels and creates the look of a polish! It can be used as a heavy or light compound depending on your choice of buffing pad and speed of the buffer. It can be used with all buffing pads and all buffing machines. The Optimum Compound will do a superior job in less time while producing a shine and clarity to the paint surface never seen with other compounds without the typical compound dust or mess, the difficult buffing feel, or the haze and major swirls that most compounds create.
- Indefinite working time
- Body shop safe
- Meets all VOC regulations
- Dust Free
- Recommended when using D.A. machine
when using 1500 & 2000 grit sandpaper
When using a wool buffing pad, the compound will remove 1200 sand scratches and lighter at 1000-1400 RPM. Faster buffing speed is not needed with this product. When using a medium or heavy cut foam pad, the compound will remove 1500 sand scratches and lighter at 1000-1400 RPM. A final finishing foam pad is generally not recommended with a compound product. For light surface imperfections, use the Optimum Polish for the least aggressive method of blemish removal. Always use enough product to create a barrier between the buffing pad and the paint surface. Wipe off residue to ensure the removal of compounding agents before proceeding to the Optimum Polish. Optimum Compound, Optimum Polish, and Optimum Car Wax meet all VOC regulations and are body shop safe.
