Tekton® 88 Thermal Insulation Coating

Tekton® 88 A water based Polymeric Coating with ceramic microsphere technology engineered to provide thermal insulation. Additional benefits: noise dampening and corrosion protection (can be used as automotive undercoating). A properly applied coating can deliver up to 9 C / 16 F temperature differential.
TK88 can be applied with an undercoating gun (Chemicar RA/88 recommended), airless gun (2000-2500 psi with 0.20 to 0.35 tip), roller or brush.

• Nonflammable, Not Combustible (FMVSS 571.302 Flammability test)
• Corrosion Protection: ASTM B-117 (1000 hours bare metal @ 500 microns)

It has excellent adhesion on clean surfaces i.e. carbon steel, aluminum, galvanized metal, wood, fiberglass, concrete as well as on most industrial primers and automotive paints. Always test before applying. Can be used in engine compartments and fire walls. Ideal for insulating roofs and walls of refrigerated trucks, building roofs, roll-up doors, RV’s, armored trucks, ambulances, etc. Always apply the coating facing the heat source.
